BROILER PRODUCTION

The course equips trainees with the expertise and skills to profitably manage and run a broiler production farm. This course covers housing preparations, chick management, biosecurity, feeding programmes, vaccination, bird health and disease management.

LAYER PRODUCTION

This short course covers key aspects including housing systems, lighting program, feeding programs, biosecurity, record keeping, egg handling, anatomy and physiology of layers, layer health and disease management.


PLANT PRODUCTION

This short course covers aspects such as land preparation, seedling production, planting, fertilizer application, plant disease and pest control, irrigation and marketing of vegetables.

PIGGERY

This short course covers topics such as anatomy and physiology, breeding practices, nutrition, housing, disease management and the economic aspects of pig farming

SMALL STOCK

The training covers the understanding of sheep and goat breeds, selection and breeding, anatomy and physiology, animal husbandry practices such as animal identification and branding, animal health management, vaccination and disease prevention, nutrition, marketing and record keeping

TRACTOR DRIVING

The training covers essential knowledge and practical skills needed to safely and effectively operate a tractor in agricultural operations.
